Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Minute Mayhem LLC ("MinuteMayhem," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the MinuteMayhem mobile applications, websites, and related services (the "Service"). MinuteMayhem is an on-demand childcare marketplace that connects parents and guardians ("Parents") with independent babysitters ("Sitters"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Who the Service is for

The Service is intended for use by adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or use the Service directly. Information about children is provided by a Parent for the purpose of arranging care, as described below.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Name, email address, phone number, password, and whether you use the Service as a Parent or a Sitter.
  • Profile information. Profile photo, biography, hourly rate (Sitters), certifications, experience, references, and other details you choose to provide.
  • Children's information. When you book care as a Parent, you may provide information about the child or children in your care — such as first name, age, allergies, routines, and care notes — so a matched Sitter can provide appropriate care. This information is provided by the Parent and is shared only with the Sitter matched to that booking.
  • Emergency contact information. Contact details you provide for use during a booking, which is a child-safety feature.
  • Location information. With your permission, approximate or precise location to help match Parents and Sitters nearby and to enable live location sharing during an active booking.
  • Payment information. Card and payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we retain limited metadata such as card brand and last four digits, and balance or payout information for Sitters.
  • Communications. Messages exchanged between Parents and Sitters through the Service, and communications you send to our support team.
  • Background check information. For Sitters, identity and background information needed to perform a background check through our verification partner, Checkr.
  • Device and usage data. Device identifiers, app version, operating system, log data, and how you interact with the Service, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • Match Parents with Sitters and facilitate and fulfill bookings;
  • Process payments and Sitter payouts;
  • Conduct and display Sitter verification and background checks;
  • Enable messaging, notifications, and live location sharing during bookings;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
  • Maintain safety, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
  • Operate, analyze, and improve the Service; and
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • With matched Sitters and Parents. When a booking is made, relevant information — such as the booking details, care notes, and the child information a Parent provides — is shared with the matched Sitter. Sitter profile details are shown to Parents.
  • Stripe — to process payments and Sitter payouts securely.
  • Checkr — to perform Sitter background checks.
  • OneSignal — to deliver push notifications.
  • Service providers who host, maintain, and support the Service under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Children's privacy and COPPA

The Service is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Any information about a child is provided by that child's Parent or legal guardian for the limited purpose of arranging and providing care, and is shared only with the Sitter matched to the relevant booking. Where a Parent provides information about a child, the Parent is responsible for having the authority to do so. We require verified parental consent before certain care-related features can be used. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, please contact us at minutemayhemdev@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. This section is intended to align with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Some records (for example, transaction and payout records) may be retained longer where required by law.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and the use of reputable processors such as Stripe for payment data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can manage much of your information and submit data-export or account-deletion requests directly from the account dashboard at account.minutemayhemdev.com. You may also email minutemayhemdev@gmail.com. We will respond consistently with applicable law. You can control push notifications and location permissions through your device settings.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Service work.

10. International users

The Service is operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside this region, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
